BUDAPEST: Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade has talked live from CNBC’s London studio about the migration crisis, Brexit and the perception of the Hungarian economy by investors.
“If you put into consideration the FDI per GDP ratio in Central Europe, we have the highest figure,” he added, reminding that the country’s “export-to-GDP ratio is almost 100%”.
“We have a very open economy. And as far as I understand the British companies are very happy,” Szijjártó said. He reminded of the developments and investments made in Hungary by British Telecom, British Petroleum, the government’s strategic co-operation agreement with pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, Tesco, Vodafone.
