Customs Adjudication finalizes 41 seizer cases in September

MULTAN: Model Customs Collectorate of Adjudication Customs has finalized 41 seizure cases worth of Rs 72.641 million in September 2016.

Deputy Collector Adjudication Farhat Ali has concluded 13 seizure cases worth Rs 8.141 million after their trial during the month of September. These decided seizure cases involved vehicles, cloth, auto parts, liquor and other goods. The Customs Intelligence and Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has detected these seizures in  various actions in the jurisdiction. Deputy Collector decided 13 out 11 seizure cases in the favour of the department and two seizure cases were settled in favour of the taxpayers in September.

Additional Collector Fayaz Anwar has also resolved 26 various seizure cases worth of Rs42.500 million in of September. Two cases were decided in the favour of taxpayers and remaining cases settled in the support of the department during said period. Fayaz Anwar has issued the ONO,s of 17 various vehicles after the completion of hearing decided any case in September.

Collector Adjudication Tahir Majeed has decided two seizure cases of worth Rs22 million in September and both cases were decided in the favour of department after their proceedings.

There were 32 fresh seizure cases added in the Customs Adjudication for hearing formed by Customs Intelligence and Anti-Smuggling Organization includes the revenue of Rs.51.350 million throughout the month of September in on-going fiscal year 2016-17.

There are almost 53 various seizure cases pending available in front of Customs Adjudication from last three months for their legal proceedings due to delay tactics from respondents and reasons which involved revenue of RS76.872 million after the end of September.
