WARSAW: In the first nine months of 2016 more construction was completed than the year before, according to new data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Increases have been noted in both the number of constructions for which permits were granted or registered with a construction project, as well as the number of dwellings in which construction had begun.
According to preliminary data published by GUS, in the January-September period of 2016, 112,337 constructions were completed, a 10.9% increase over the same period of 2015. In the first nine months of 2016, the number of constructions for which building permits were granted or which were registered with a construction project, amounted to 154,349 (a y/y increase of 11.8%).
