PARIS: French ICT group Atos reported that revenue increased to EUR 2.78 billion in the third quarter, representing a year-on-year organic growth rate of 1.8 percent on a like-for-like basis (+6.3 percent on an inorganic basis and at constant exchange rates). Organic growth was unchanged since the previous quarter, with an improved performance in Big Data & Cybersecurity offsetting slower growth in the Worldwide division. Atos highlighted the high level of new bookings, particularly in the defense and security sectors. At group level, order entry reached EUR 2.85 billion in the quarter, representing a book to bill ratio of 102 percent. The UK & Ireland business unit returned to positive growth (+4.2 percent from -1.5 percent in the previous quarter), while Benelux & The Nordics remained in negative territory (-6.2 percent). Following several acquisitions, the group’s workforce has increased considerably during the year, rising to around 99,500 staff as of October.
Guidance for the full year was confirmed, targeting organic growth between 1.5 and 2.0 percent. Atos confirmed that it will present its strategy for the next three years at the Investor Day scheduled on 8 November.
