Director Reforms and Automation tell chief collectors to update status of Internet connectivity

ISLAMABAD: The Director Reforms and Automation has asked all the Chief Collectors North, South and Central regions to updated status of the internet connectivity along with available bandwidth for seamless operation of web based one customs (WeBOC) at various customs stations falling under their jurisdiction to meet the required need of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to the Director Reforms and Automation, there is a need to know the requirements of connectivity for coordination among the customs stations.

Furthermore, the requirements for bandwidth may be calculated keeping in the view the increased trade flows envisaged under the CPEC and the sunset strategy for closure of one-customs.

CPEC have chalked out an impressive program through which we can explore various opportunities in addition, with the launch of CPEC the installation of fabric optics and satellite internet connections will be done in remote areas and it can help boosting up the internet users density.

Moreover, once the major infrastructure is built more and more multi-national telecommunication companies will be attracted by lucrative environment, sources adding that CPEC can make lives of Pakistani better and can raise the image of Pakistan worldwide.
