FST adjourns hearing of several complaints filed by FBR employees

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Wednesday ‘dated in office’ the hearing of several complaints filed by the employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), challenging its administrative measures.

A division bench of the FST comprising members, Muhammad Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Hamid, heard the complaints carrying submission about un-granted promotion and unimplemented decisions of the Federal Service Tribunal. The bench could not held hearing of the cases and dated in the office. The FST administration now would further schedule the date of hearing of these cases.

FBR employees, Naveed Ali Khan, Shahzad Muhammad Aamir, Zafar Iqbal, Gohar Ali,  Asim Muhammad, Mehboob Ali, Waqar Ahmed, Sayyar Ahmed, Khan Hameed, Adam Khan, Noor Hussain, Muhammad Mukhtiar, Ahmed Hussain and Fazal Hussain had filed cases seeking promotion to higher service-scales.

They have pleaded to tribunal that their promotions had been not granted to them in violation of department’s regulation. They submitted that they had served the department for years and still the administration was not ready to recognize their services. They prayed the tribunal to direct the board on the matters and ensure provision of justice in this regard.

Among the appellants, Muhammad Saleem had filed a case seeking implementation of FST previous decision which was yet not implemented by the board despite lapse of months.

It is pertinent to mention that FST had formed this bench to hear the cases which were earlier heard by Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi. Following resignation of Member Arshad Bhatti, the tribunal administration had formed
