LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a citizen allegedly involved in hundi and hawala business.
An FIA official told Customs Today that Inspector Nasir Awan, along with his team members, conducted a raid on 6-Montgomery Road where a person Salman Tariq was found involved in illegal business of currency exchange — hawala and hundi.
During search of his shop, the raiding team recovered Rs 188,000 Dirham 1,020, Omani riyal 2,719, and $500. The FIA registered a case against him under section 423 FER Act 4 AML, Act 2010.
