FBR expresses confidence over its officers depute on senior posts

KARACHI: The high-ups of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) have expressed confidence in junior officers of Grade-BS 19 and also deputed them on the posts of directors and collectors level.

Sources informed Customs Today that the FBR high officials, with the consent of FBR Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan, have given an opportunity to the officers of Grade-19 to show their talents through their hard-working and devotion in their affairs.

According to details, the FBR in its recent transfers and postings have deputed/appointed 14 officers of Grade-19 on Own Pay Scale (OPS) at directors and collectors level across the country in different field formation offices.

The 14 officers include Pervez Esbani of Grade BS-19 is working as Director of the Directorate General of Input Output Co-efficient Organization (IOCO),  Imtiaz Ahmed of Grade-BS 19 is working as Director of the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs, Nasrullah Khan of Grade BS-19 as Director of Directorate Customs Intelligence & Investigation-FBR (Islamabad),  Wajid Ali of Grade-19 as Director of Directorate Reforms & Automation (R&A),  Samina Tasleem of Grade BS-19 as Director of Directorate of Customs I&I-FBR (Karachi).

Similarly, Rabab Sikandar, an officer of Grade BS-19 is working as Director-Directorate of Customs I&I-FBR (Faisalabad), Adnan Akram is working as Chief HRM Wing (Islamabad); Fayyaz Anwar of Grade BS-19 is working as Director of Directorate of Transit Trade-Peshawar; Zeba Azhar as Director of the Directorate General of Training and Research (DG T&R) Karachi, Saima Shahzad of Grade BS-19 as Director of DG T&R-Lahore,  Khalid Hussain as Collector of Customs Adjudication-Quetta,  Iram Maqbool of Grade-BS 19 as Collector Customs (Appeals), Islamabad,  Feroze Alam Junejo of Grade-19 as Director of Directorate of Customs I&I-FBR (Anti-Smuggling Organization), Karachi and Muhammad Saleem as Director of Directorate of I&I-FBR Peshawar.

The sources informed this scribe that the performance of all those officers would be evaluated by the FBR high ups and after that their promotions would be recommended later.
