Customs I&I impounds non-duty paid goods from Band Road

LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) has seized a container which was loaded with electronic goods and articles from Band Road. The container was coming from Karachi.

Sources told Customs Today that the goods were cleared from Karachi on wrong information and were destined to be dumped at the Hall Road market of electronics goods.

It was said that the Customs Intelligence authorities received information that a trader of Hall Road have managed to cleared goods on wrong information and mis-declaration from Karachi.

The sources said that the Hall Road trader Adnan was the owner of the container and intended to dump the goods avoiding duty and taxes on the goods and articles.

The sources said that the container was loaded with million of rupees printers, laptop chargers LCDs and other such accessories.

The customs sources said that customs authorities have registered a case and started further investigations into the matter to reach to other accused persons.
