Two division benches of FST, first comprising Ishtiaq Ahmed and Dr Nazir Saeed, second comprising Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard the cases and adjourned.

First bench heard and adjourned cases filed by Akbar Ali Shad, Qaiser Khan, Muhammad Asfandyar Janjua, Shafqat Mahmud, Khalid Mehmood and Muhammad Hamayon, who had submitted complaints on ‘seniority’ and promotion.

The later bench heard Abdul Ghaffar, Zahid Parvez, Muslim Khan, Wilayat Ali Shah, Sajid Hussain, and Muhammad Moin uddin’s promotion cases.

The appellant had complaint against the department for not granting promotion to the due scale. They had submitted that they were being kept deprived of their right to promotion despite serving at the department for years.

They pleaded the tribunal to direct the board on ensuring their promotion to due scales entitled to them by law.
