Collector Appraisement West Dr Farid Iqbal issues ‘assessment alerts’ for clearing of consignments

KARACHI: Collector Customs Appraisement West Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi has issued “assessment alerts” for the appraising officials and examiners in order to clear the consignments.

According to details, the Collector Appraisement West Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi, through the additional collectors and deputy collectors of different groups, has circulated the “assessment alerts” in all respective groups of the collectorate.

In the assessment alerts, the Collector Appraisement Wes directed all the officials concerned that they should ensure “zero-pendency” on daily basis and the consignments in red channel should be examined strictly. In case of any query about the consignments, the time frame should not be more than 48 hours while the consignments in green channel should be cleared immediately after confirming the Goods Declaration (GD). The appraising officials and examiners should update the Goods Declaration chart on daily basis. The appraising officials and examiners should not contact the importers and clearing agents directly and they should send query to their respective officers in case of any information about the consignments.

The Collector Appraisement West Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi in the assessment alert also directed to strictly adhere with the directives issued by the collector office.

The assessment alerts have been circulated in all respective groups and all concerned officers including the additional collectors and deputy collectors have also sent those alerts to the respective officials.
