FST benches to hear 16 cases filed by FBR employees today

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) will hear 16 cases challenging administrative measures of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday (today).

FST benches, comprising Members, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi and another bench of Member Rafique Shah and Dr Nazir would hear the complaints filed by the FBR employees.

Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi will hear three recently filed cases carrying complaints about ‘dismissal from services’, ‘withholding of two annual increments’, and others. Muhammad Arshad Rahim, Muhammad Arshad Rahim and Ejaz Ahmed Bajwa had filed these cases.

Another bench of FST, comprising Member Rafique Shah and Dr Nazir will resume hearing of 13 cases it had adjourned last week.

These cases had been filed by Attique Ahmed Abbasi, Zeeshan Zafar, Mian Muhammad Shahzad, Mian Asif Mehmood, Ch.Muhammad Sajid, Ahmad Din, Rizwan Jillani, Muhammad Younas, Muhammad Hussain, Muhammad Rafique, and Abdul Basit

The appellants had submitted complaints about their due promotion which was not yet granted by the department. They have prayed the tribunal to issue necessary directives to the board in this regard. The bench adjourned hearing of cases.
