PESHAWAR: The Board of Director (BoD) of the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) on Monday approved the creation of Swabi Circle, new divisions and subdivisions in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The approval accorded at the Pesco BoD 112th meeting chaired by its Chairman Malik Muhammad Asad Khan. Company secretary presented minutes of 111th BoD meeting which were approved after detailed discussions with minor amendments.
Board Members including Chief Executive Pesco Anwarul Haq Yousafzai, Syed Musawar Shah, Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, Col Retd Jehanzeb Khan, Col ® Alamzeb, Dr Amjadullah Khattak, Qamar Zaman, Niamatullah Abid, Chief Engineer Shabbir Ahmad, Chief Engineer PMU Dr Muhammad Amjad, Chief Engineer Operation Mohsin Raza, Director General PR Shaukat Afzal, Director General HR Muhammad Saleem Jahangir and Secretary Board Khursheed Ahmad Orakzai attended the meeting. The BoD approved creation of Swabi Circle, new divisions of Takht Bhai, Topi, Razaar, Kohat rural, and 16 new subdivisions in Peshawar and Mardan circles.
To facilitate consumers, seven new subdivisions in Peshawar Circle were created by bifurcating old subdivisions Nishtarabad, Lala, Wazir Bagh, Gulbahar, Utmanzai, Shabqadar and Gulbela sub divisions.
Similarly, nine new subdivisions were created in Mardan Circle by bifurcating and trifurcating Lahor, Zaida, Tordher, Marghuz, Topi, Gadoon, Kalabat, Razar, Bamkhel, Karnal Sher Khan Killay and Khadokhel subdivisions.
Anwarul Haq Yousafzai gave presentation to the board about Pesco’s performance. The CEO said that line losses had been decreased by 4.4 per cent while recovery increased by 1.5 per cent during the last quarter.
