Gilgit-Baltistan Customs assigned Rs 224.5m target for November

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) has been assigned a target of Rs 224.5 million under the head of duty/taxes for November 2016.

It has been assigned Rs 102 million as customs duty, Rs 81.5 million as sales tax and Rs 41 million under the head of withholding tax (WHT) for the said period.

The collectorate generated Rs 351.568 million in wake of all duty/taxes against assigned revenue target of Rs 218.5 million during October 2016 and surpassed it.

It collected Rs.428.761 million during September 2016 against the given target of Rs 163.1 million that include Rs 77 million as customs duty, Rs 61.1 million sales tax and Rs 25 million withholding tax.

During August, the department was assigned a target of Rs 216.5 million, including Rs 102 million as customs duty, Rs 81.5 as million as sales tax and Rs 33 million under the head of withholding tax. It not only met the target but also surpassed it by collecting Rs 392.35 million. It generated Rs 196.905 million as customs duty, Rs 134.426 million as sales tax and Rs 61.021 million as withholding tax.

The GB Customs was given target of Rs 217.5 million for July 2016 that includes Rs 102 million as customs duty, Rs 81.5 million as sales tax and Rs 34 million as withholding tax. It collected Rs 203.494 million under the head of duty/taxes during July 2016. It generated Rs 95.409 million in shape of customs duty, Rs 77.299 in shape of sales tax and Rs 30.785 million as withholding tax.
