USC reduces pulses prices by Rs15

ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) on Wednesday announced to reduce the prices of pulses as low as Rs2 to Rs15.

The price of pulses at the utility stores saw an exceptional rise in recent months. According to notification issued by the corporation, prices of white chickpeas, black chickpeas, Chana Daal, Mash Daal, Mong Daal, Masur Daal, and other whole and washed pulses have been reduced from Rs2 to Rs15. The price of Masur Daal was decreased from Rs142 to Rs140 per kilogram. The price of Mong Daal was reduced from Rs130 to Rs120 per kg. Chana Daal was reduced to Rs230 per kg from its old price at Rs245 per kg.–APP

USC spokesman Wajid Ali Khan said that the corporation not to hike prices of essential goods. The spokesmen said that the corporation has issued the notification in this regard. Prices of all pulses have been reduced to help the masses, he added.
