Chief Collector Appraisement South reviews revenue collection status in meeting with collectors

KARACHI: The revenue collection target for the fiscal year 2016-17 is to be revised soon by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) after getting the approval of the federal government.

According to details, the Chief Collector-Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Shaikh recently held a meeting of the collectors of all field formation Collectorates i.e. Appraisement West, East and Port Qasim at his office. During the meeting, the Chief Collector was given briefing by Collectors Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi, Asshad Jawwad and Mukarram Jah Ansari about the revenue status.

The collectors apprised the Chief Collector about the recent status of revenue collection, adding that the field formation Collectorates have almost achieved the revenue collection targets in the first quarters of the fiscal year 2016-17.

The collectors further said that the officials and officers of the Collectorates are working hard for getting revenue target by the end of the second quarters, which is to be ended on 31st December of the FY2016-17.

The Chief Collector-Appraisement South asked the collectors of field formation Collectorates to continue their working with the same pace adding that the federal government may revise the revenue collection target for the FY2016-17 by the end of this current month.
