It generated Rs 1726.495 million on imported goods in wake of customs duty during the said period of running month, while the same stood at Rs 2626 million during last year. The collectorate observed decline in the collection of customs duty as compared to previous year due to less import clearances from Multan Dry Port.

It collected Rs 6029.366 million in the wake of sales taxes, while it made collection of Rs 13797 million under the same head during four months of previous of fiscal year. There are multiple factors involved in decreasing sales tax collection, including less clearances of diesel through the dry port.

The Multan Customs collected Rs 57.324 million in the wake of federal excise duty during July to October 2016 whereas it collected Rs 38 million during same period of last year.

It also collected Rs 78.474 million under the head of income tax in first four months of running fiscal year. But the Multan Customs made collection of Rs 100 million as income tax during last year.

Besides these tax collections, it collected additional duty taxes to the tune of Rs 7.862 million and petroleum development levy amounting to Rs 3429.766 million during the said period of this year.
