FST reserves verdict on complaint filed by FBR employee

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Friday reserved a decision on a complaint filed by an employee of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

A division bench of the FST comprising Justice (r) Syed Zahid Hussain and Syed Muhammad Hamid was hearing the case filed by Muhammad Humayon, an employee of the FBR. The appellant had filed a complaint about pending implementation over the FST’s decision.

The appellant had prayed the tribunal to direct the board on implementing the decision on his cases at the earliest.

The bench also heard few other cases filed by Akbar Ali Shad, Qaiser Khan, Taj Muhammad and Ahmed Saeed had filed these complaints against the FBR administration. The bench adjourned hearing of these cases.

These appellants had also filed submissions about ‘implementation’ and had prayed the tribunal to direct the board on fulfilling tribunal’s former orders regarding their submissions.

They had complained about board’s lethargy and submitted that the board administration had not taken bench’s order serious and did not complied the orders. They asked the tribunal to bring justice to them by ensuring implementation over the tribunal’s orders.

It is pertinent to mention that a large number of complaints is pending with the tribunal carrying similar substance. Almost all the appellants had asked the tribunal to take strict notice of board’s weariness about the employees affairs.
