Gujranwala FIA arrests 120 human traffickers

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested as many as 120 human traffickers, including three notorious smugglers named in FIA’s Red Book during its ongoing operation in Gujranwala Division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts here.

FIA Deputy Director Khalid Anees  told that the agency has tightened its noose on the human traffickers, their agents and sub agents  during its ongoing fresh crackdown against them.

Khalid Anees told that the FIA has arrested accused human traffickers for sending the innocent people abroad illegally especially to European, Middle East and African Countries and Gulf States by extorting big amounts from them by showing them the golden dreams of their lucid future in abroad.

He said that all out sincere efforts are being made to curb the menace of the human trafficking in this region including the hard penalties and punishments to the accused human traffickers by the local courts, as the FIA continues its vigorous crackdown against the human traffickers, their agents and sub agents without any indiscrimination.
