Faisalabad Customs posts 84% growth in revenue collection

LAHORE: The Model Customs Collectorate, Faisalabad registered 84 percent by collecting Rs 2,941 million during first four months (July to October) of financial year 2016-17 as compared to Rs 1,601 million collected during same period of last financial year

As per the detail, the collectorate collected the revenue on account of four heads customs duty, sales tax, withholding tax and federal excise duty (FED). It collected Rs 697 million as customs duty during the period under review against the collection of Rs 231 million during last year.

Similarly, the collectorate collected Rs 2,197 million in the wake of sales tax during the said period of this year against Rs 1,304 million generated during the last year.

It generated Rs 45 million as withholding tax against the collection of Rs 41 million during same periods last year. The Faisalabad Customs

At all, the collectorate exhibited 29 percent from the targets assigned and 84 percent growth against the first four months of financial year 2015-16.
