2 reports of standing bodies presented in Senate

ISLAMABAD: Two reports of various standing committees including National Food Security & Research and Interior & Narcotics Control have been presented in Senate.

Standing Committee National Food Security and Research Chairman Syed Muzafar Hussain Shah presented the report regarding proposed “conversion of 1,400 acres land of National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC)/ Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) into residential/commercial plots” while Chairman Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control Abdul Rehman Malik on bill to further amend certain laws [the Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2016] in the House.

Meanwhile, Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid on behalf of Minister for Finance Mohammad Ishaq Dar laid before the Senate the Annual Report for the year 2015-2016 of the Central Board of Directors of the State Bank of Pakistan on the state of the Economy along with the Statistical Supplement, as required under section 9A (f) of the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956.
