ISLAMABAD: The Peshawar Customs bonded warehouse section collected Rs 902.74 million as duty/taxes from July to November 15 2016.
According to details, the bonded warehouse collected revenue amounting to Rs 1.32 million under the head of withholding tax surcharge during the said period. It also generated Rs 6.30 million as regulatory duty.
It collected Rs 350.92 million under the head of customs duty and Rs 11.42 million in the wake of sales tax. The warehouse generated Rs 453.88 million as sales tax VM on palm oil, besides collecting Rs 51.61 million in the wake of additional income tax.
During July to November 15, it collected Rs 750,000 as federal excise duty on imports (FEDI), besides collecting FEDI 1/kg amounting to Rs 34.16 million, so the total collection of FEDI during the said period stood at Rs 34.91 million.
Furthermore, it collected total duty/taxes amounting to Rs 199.706 million during October 2016, while the same stood at Rs 261.387 million during October 2015.
During September 2016, the bonded warehouse collected Rs 222.816 million as duty/taxes and in same period of last year 2015, it collected duty/taxes amounting to Rs 273.260 million.
During August 2016, it collected all duty/taxes to the tune of Rs 158.211 million, while it collected Rs 311.429 million during same period of last year 2015.
The bonded warehouse section collected duty/taxes to the tune of Rs 172.325 million during July 2016 and it collected Rs 209.465 million during same period of last year.
