Multan Customs enhances vigilance to curb gold, currency smuggling: Collector Sarfraz

MULTAN: Multan Customs Collector Sarfraz Ahmed Waraich all the collectorates and Directorate General of Customs Intelligence have enhanced vigilance to curb gold and currency smuggling.

While talking to media, the collector said that on the special instructions of Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the Airport Security Force, FIA, Customs and other law-enforcement agencies are on high alert at Multan international airport to foil any attempt of smuggling.

Sarfraz Waraich said that the government has already launched a crackdown against illegal money changers at the airports. He said that the government would not allow any unscrupulous element to play with destiny of the country.

The collector said that all the international flights are being personally monitored by the collector, deputy, additional, assistant collectors and they are visiting important flights to further enhance the level of vigilance.
