WASHINGTON: U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a U-S citizen at the Peace Bridge on Saturday, charging him with possession of an unlicensed loaded handgun and drugs.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Peace Bridge confiscated a loaded handgun and drugs from a U.S. citizen on Saturday. “CBP officers are trained to identify the many signs that call for careful inspection of suspicious individuals arriving at the U.S. border,” said Acting Port Director Cary Frieling. “The transportation of illegal guns and drugs over the U.S. border will always be prosecuted to the fullest extent of our laws.”

The man, who was not identified, was turned over to Buffalo Police, along with the drugs, handgun, and 10 rounds of ammunition.
