Customs Appraisement East collects Rs 25.4b duties/taxes in November 2016

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement East has collected Rs 25.4 billion taxes/duties under head of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty (FED) during the month of November 2016.

According to sources, the Customs Appraisement East collected Rs 25.4 billion taxes and duties that included Rs 8.721 billion under the head of customs duty, while Rs 12.535 billion as sales tax, Rs 4.084 billion as income tax and Rs 90 million as the federal excise duty in the month of November 2016.

While showing its extra ordinary performance, the Appraisement East Collectorate collected Rs 2.185 billion on the last working day i.e. November 30, 2016 that include Rs 728 million customs duty, Rs 1,108 million sales tax, Rs 340 million income tax and Rs 9 million federal excise duty.

So far, the sources said the Customs Appraisement East has collected Rs 118,090 billion taxes/duties since July 1 to November 30, 2016 that included Rs 41.172 billion under head of customs duty, Rs 56.171 billion as sales tax, Rs 20.213 billion as income tax and Rs 533 million under head of federal excise duty.
