LAHORE: The Customs authorities deputed at Bacha Khan International Airport foiled a gold smuggling bid and arrested the smuggler with possession of eight kilogram gold here on Tuesday.
According to Customs authorities, a smuggler who had concealed the gold in shoes and belt was arrested during body search at BKIA. The gold was being smuggled to Dubai from Peshawar.
The authorities further said the gold valued Rs30 million in market. The smuggler was shifted to Customs office for further interrogation.
