Deputy Collector Mueed Kanjoo transferred to Multan Customs Intelligence

MULTAN: Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo has been transferred to Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office.

According to details, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office was functioning without any assistant or deputy director after the transfer of assistant collector. Assistant Collector Furqan Mehmood was transferred in the first week of October from Multan to Islamabad on the directions of Director General Shaukat Ali.

The key post of deputy director was vacant in the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office from last two months and it was also affecting their performance. The anti-smuggling crackdown against smugglers was not giving desired results due to absence of deputy director. Superintendent Zahid Bukhari was supervising Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office charge temporarily to manage the official tasks during the said period.

Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Shaukat Ali has transferred Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo to Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad office and posted him in the Multan Range Office due to vacant position of deputy director.

Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo has performed his duties in the various offices of Customs including Multan, Faisalabad and Collectorate of Appraisement East Karachi. He will resume the charge of his responsibilities very soon at the Multan Range Office.
