WASHINGTON: Lithuania’s consumer price inflation accelerated for the second straight month in November, though marginally, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Thursday. The consumer price index rose 1.0 percent year-over-year in November, faster than the 0.9 percent climb in the previous month. Prices have been rising since January this year.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages grew 1.0 percent in November from a year ago and health costs went up by 1.4 percent. At the same time, utility costs dropped 1.2 percent. Month-on-month, consumer prices inched up 0.3 percent from October, when it increased by 0.5 percent. It was the third month of rise in a row.
