ATHENS: The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce’s new section, Trade USA, provides exporters with accurate and detailed information to help them ease their way successfully into the US market.

Presenting the new section at the Export USA Forum 2016 that took place on Monday in Athens, AmCham president Simos Anastasopoulos stressed that the main role of the chamber is to participate in and, to a certain extent, coordinate the national effort to boost exports to the US, and that this effort relies on three pillars: cooperation, team spirit and organization.

AmCham now offers exporters a vital information mechanism “that will be able to conduct specific studies on products and local markets in the US as well as efficiently promoting Greek companies via targeted business missions and participation in special exhibitions. It will also supply a high-quality level of personalized services to candidate exporters,” said Anastasopoulos.

The general secretary of the Economy and Development Ministry, Ilias Xanthakos, said that, “for the government, the presence of Greek enterprises in the United States is very important as that is the biggest consumer market in the world, Greece has a good brand name there, and there is great scope for improvement for Greek exports in the US.”
