Chief Collector Appraisement South to take stern action against incompetent officials

KARACHI: The Customs Appraisement West, Appraisement East and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim have sent the lists of the officials to the Chief Collector-Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Shaikh for further departmental action against them. The officials were not doing their assignments and tasks within the stipulated time, it is learnt.

The sources informed Customs Today that the chief collector Appraisement South had earlier told the collectors of all the field formations to compile the lists of delinquent officials and send them same to him.

The sources revealed that the collectors of field formations have eventually finalized the lists and also sent the same to the chief collector Appraisement South for further action. They confirmed that the chief collector has decided to take stern departmental action against them.

Replying to a query, the sources disclosed that around 135 Customs officials from all three field formations are included in the lists, adding that most of the officials are appraisers and principal appraisers.
