WASHINGTON: Pilbara Ports Authority has delivered a total monthly throughput of 56.2 million tonnes (Mt) for the month of November. This is an increase of 7% from the same month in 2015. The Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 41.5Mt, an increase of 9% from the previous year. Iron ore exports for the month totalled 41.1Mt an increase of 10% from the same month in 2015.
Imports totalled 158,000 tonnes, an increase of 28,000 tonnes or 21% from the previous year. The Port of Dampier delivered a total monthly throughput of 14.7Mt, in line with the previous year. Imports totalled 84,000 tonnes, a decrease of 23,000 tonnes or 22% from the previous year.
