HELSINKI: The Christmas market jointly organised by Kunnes Oy and Tuotepalvelut Tei-Ra at Rovaniemi’s Rinteenkulma market is gaining momentum by the day with the approach of Xmas. The market began on November 12 at the precinct of the now defunct Anttila on the second floor of Rinteenkulma market and is scheduled to continue till the end of December, the organisers said. Local traders including armatures have set up temporary stalls in the market producing a kaleidoscopic view. “More and more traders are coming with their products in the market,” Eila Henttunen of Kunnes Oy told Finnish News Network (FNN).
Henttunen said a significant number of traders have already set up stalls in the market and hoped to see a sharp rise in the number of visitors. The traders have decorated their stalls with various commodities of Lapin features, ranging from wooden, woollen and reindeer-skin handmade crafts to homemade cake and berry jam, cosmetics, fabrics, ornaments, household articles, and books.
