LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has issued sales tax notice to Parks and Horticultural Authority (PHA) Lahore to pay their due amount of sales tax.
Sources told Customs Today that the Punjab Revenue Authority has detected Rs 40 million that was being allegedly evaded by Parks and Horticulture Authority Lahore. On the directions of PRA Chairman Dr Raheel Sadiqui, Commissioner Ziaur Rehman has issued notice to the PHA to pay the due amount within 30 days.
Sources said that Parks and Horticulture Authority is bound to pay sales tax to the PRA on income of sign boards and advertising hoardings. The PHA has earned more than Rs 2.3 billion but did not pay tax to the PRA. Now the PRA has issued notice to PHA to pay their tax as soon as possible.
