MOSCOW: In prospect, the volume of Russian arms exports may reach $20 billion, the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced on Thursday, Interfax news agency reports. “Now we export weapons worth approximately $17 billion. In future, this figure could reach 20 billion dollars”, – said Medvedev in an interview to reporters of Russian TV channels.
As the head of the government stressed, “this figure means that we remain the largest supplier of arms in the world, it is only the United States that is ahead.” Interfax is broadcasting live a meeting between the Prime Minister of Russia with TV channels on the subject of the year’s results.
