ADB to play role for progress of Pak Railways

LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways has constituted basic infrastructure of strategic planning of the railways up to 2040.

This was disclosed by PR Chief Executive Officer Javaid Anwar in a meeting with a three-member delegation of the Asian Development Bank led by Taki She Fukuyama held at the PR Headquarters here on Friday.

The CEO led by PR technical committee said that role of railways would be important in the first transport policy of the country. He added the PR was working day and night for betterment of its income and performance. He said restructuring of the PR human resources was also underway for betterment of the department.

Fukuyama said, on the occasion, the Asian Development Bank would play its role for progress and betterment of the Pakistan Railways.
