Additional Collector Adjudication declares seizure of 12 vehicles legal

MULTAN: Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Beelam Ramzan has issued Order–in–Original (ONO) in 12 various seized vehicles case after completion of their hearing.

According to details, Additional  Collector Beelam Ramzan of Customs Adjudication has concluded hearing of 12 impounded vehicles  by Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office and Anti-Smuggling Organization of Multan Customs.

The Customs Adjudication has concluded hearing of Honda City car bearing registration number of AIQ/305 /Sindh and vehicle was impounded by field intelligence unit of Sadiqabad.

The owner of said vehicle Muhammad Adnan s/o Abdul Wahab who is resident of Rahim Yar Khan failed to prove the legal identity of said vehicle in Customs Adjudication.

Customs  has also seized four Toyota Corolla G in their various actions carried in the jurisdiction and they were bearing registration number of AAP/305/ Quetta, LEA/13/3782 seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization squad, ACV/321/Islamabad and YU -821/Islamabad.

Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan has also done hearing of Toyota Premio having registration number UD -916/ Islamabad, Toyota Fielder  with registration number AAR-959/ Quetta, Toyota X bearing registration number AWJ/288/Sindh. Customs team have also seized Toyota Hilux Surf with registration number of BE-0778 and Toyota Hiace having registration number GTS/12/1555 during their various anti-smuggling activities. Customs Adjudication has reserved the final decisions of these seized vehicles after their hearing and Additional Collector Customs Adjudication has issued final verdict after the completion of their legal trial. These vehicles were found tampered ,bogus documents, cut and weld and due to other illegal reasons.

Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan has issued orders for the out rightly confiscation of all 12 impounded vehicles in their issued Order-in-Original under Section 16 of the Customs Act  punishable under Section 156(1), 89(1) Customs Act 1969 with SRO-499.

These vehicles market  value was almost Rs.26 million.

It is also pertinent to mention here that Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan was hearing seizure cases  due to absence of additional ollector in Multan Customs Adjudication  for short time to dispose pending cases available for hearing in Customs Adjudication after the transfer of Additional Collector Fayaz Anwar.
