KARACHI: Two ships C.V MSC Tokomo and Maersk Chicago carrying containers took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal.
Meanwhile Maersk Surabaya with containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours, the PQ shipping activities said Wednesday. Berth occupancy was report 60% at the port on Tuesday where a total of nine ships namely C.V MSC Tokomo, Maersk Chicago, An African, Da Hua, Infinity, Argent Freesia, Al-Rekayyat, Shan Song Zihe and Eagle Phoenix are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, canola seeds, chemicals, LNG, palm oil and crude oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships Eagle Phoenix, Argent Freesia and Shan Song Zihe sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while two more ships Maersk Chicago and Al-Rekayyat are expected to sail on same day afternoon. Four ships Maersk Surabaya, Chemroad Sea, Atlantic Glory and Quetta carrying containers, palm oil chemicals and furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, EVTL and FOTCO respectively on Wednesday, while three more ships CMA CGM Nerval, Globe Tanya and Thorco Arival with Containers, LPG and project cargo are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday, and Diavolezza and San Felix carrying canola seeds and containers are due to arrive on Friday.
