Customs authorities at BKIP collects Rs6.56m in first 15 days of Dec

ISLAMABAD: Customs authorities at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar (BKIAP) collected Rs6.56 million revenue under the head of duty/taxes during first 15 days of December of financial year (FY) 2016-17.

Sources told Customs Today that Peshawar Customs performance regarding collection of all duty/taxes was satisfactory. Sources added that during above said period Peshawar Customs collected Rs4 million under the head of customs duty.

During first 15 day of current month, the BKIAP collected Rs0.30 million in the wake of various duty and taxes, adding that the customs officials at the airport collected Rs.0.35 million revenue under the head of redemption duty on imports.

It is told that the authorities at BKIAP collected revenue Rs2.57 million under sales tax. Sources added that during the corresponding period the BKIAP collected Rs1.66 million under the head of additional income tax.
