KIEV: Since the year 2021, Ukraine intends start to export gas, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, Igor Nasalik, announced on Friday. Earlier, Prime Minister, Vladimir Groisman, said that over the course of five years, Ukraine planed to increase its proper gas production by 7 billion cubic meters. In his opinion, this measure will allow the country to abandon gas imports and achieve energy independence.
“Ukraine has been hard at work on reducing dependence on gas import. In 2020, due to additional gas production, Ukraine will not depend on gas imports, and starting from 2021, it will become its exporter,” said Nasalik, speaking in Parliament today.
