FIA arrests notorious human trafficker from Bahawalpur

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human trafficker namely Sajid Iqbal son of Muhammad Habib who is a resident of Bahawalpur.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi conducted a raid along with Sub Inspector Muhammad Abid Gill and arrested accused Sajid Iqbal.  Sources said that accused was running illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after extorting huge amounts from them. The accused had extorted Rs 8,70,000 from three persons for sending him for overseas employment in Dubai but he failed to send them abroad.

Sources said that FIA has also recovered passports and several fake visas of different countries from his possession. The officials sent the accused behind the bars after registering an FIR No, 389/2016 against him under Section 17/22 Emigration Ordinance (E.O) 1979. Further investigations are still underway till filing of this report.
