Collector Preventive holds cake cutting ceremony for Christian staff

LAHORE: Collector of Customs Preventive Zulfiqar Younas has participated in Christmas cake cutting ceremony at the Customs House to greet the Christian community, especially the Christian workers serving in the department.

Sources said that on the instruction of Chief Collector Customs Central Madam Samaira Nazir, Customs Preventive Collector Zulfiqar Younas held the cake cutting ceremony and paid homage to the Christian community serving the homeland.

Following the cake cutting ceremony, prays for the progress and prosperity of the country were held in which it was hoped that the community would remain in the forefront for the development of the nations.

A large number of customs officers and staff participated in the event and expressed solidarity with the minority. The collector urged the Christian staff to serve the Customs Department and safeguard its interests.

On the other hand, the Christian community pledged to give their maximum input for the progress of the country and the Custom Department. At the end of the function, the collector gave away gifts to the Christians on the eve of the Christmas and bid them happy Charismas. The sources said that the tradition would continue in future as well.
