Customs Export issues notice to M/s Nuzhat Enterprises due to tax evasion

KARACHI: The Customs Exports authorities issued tax notice to the management of M/s Nuzhat Enterprises due to tax evasion.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of import data of the company, it was revealed that M/s Nuzhat Enterprises availed undue concessions and benefits and imported two consignments of house pipes through their clearing agent M/s J.R. Exports and caused a loss of Rs 267,000 to the national kitty. Sources said that the Customs Export started investigations against the company during November. After detecting tax evasion, the Customs Exports directed the management of the company to clear outstanding dues at the earliest otherwise stern action will be taken against it.

Sources said that Customs Export already issued notice to the management of M/s Al Muneer Textile and Exports. The company imported various consignments by using wrong PCT heading. The Customs Export authorities directed the company to clear outstanding dues within fourteen days otherwise stern legal action will be taken against the company which will led to seizure of property and attachment of bank accounts.
