Rs1,170m collected in Feb-Dec: ASO breaks all previous records

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Customs Anti smuggling-Organization collected revenue Rs1170 million during February 2016 to December 2016 by confiscated foreign origin goods under jurisdiction of Model Customs Collectorate.

According to details told by sources of ASO Islamabad that during said period the performance of ASO Islamabad shows that it collected highest revenue in history of the Customs Collectorate.

During the correspondence period the ASO made huge seizers of the history and made heavy crackdown against the smugglers, adding that, all of that become possible under the guidance of Collector Dr. Arslan as for as Deputy Collector Preventive Shahid Jan.

Sources added that the ASO team awarded appreciations from there higher officers to showing outstanding performance regarding collection of revenue as for as to made hurdles for smugglers.

Sources further said that ASO Islamabad made hundreds of huge seizers of foreign origin goods during said period and seized huge quantity of illegal medicines, drugs and Narcotics during the said period.
