On the occasion, Prof Ahmed Rafique Akhtar spoke about the life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The main topic of the occasion was “Why Man Is Upset Today?” He emphasised that the Prophet (PBUH) lived a life of simplicity and piety. He gave the message of peace and brotherhood for the entire humanity, which is need of the hour. The degeneration and conflict prevailing in the society can be tackled only by following the great life of the Prophet (PBUH), he stressed.

Addressing a Mehfil-e-Naat at the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), he said Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a reformer par excellence. He taught us to behave respectfully even with our worst opponents in a manner to attract them towards the true teaching of Islam. Our Islam is a religion of peace and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) practised the teachings of Islam in its true sense and spirit throughout his life, said renowned religious Scholar Ahmed Rafique Akhtar.

Later, Additional Deputy Collector (ADC) Muhammad Saeed Asad and Acting Customs Agents Association President Rana Safdar Ali presented a memento to Prof Ahmed Rafique Akhtar. He also appreciated the administration of the MCC for regularly holding the Milad every year in the most befitting manner.

Acting President Customs Agents Association Rana Safdar Ali thanked the participants and expressed satisfaction over the massive participation of the customs officers as well as business community in the religious sitting.
