FST postpones hearing of service matters filed against FBR on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of Federal Service Tribunal adjourned hearing of plenty of cases submitted against Federal Board of Revenue.

FST benches comprising Ishtiaq Ahmed and Syed M Hamid; and Ishtiaq Ahmed and M Javed Iqbal Kasi heard complaints about ‘reversion’, ‘implementation’ and ‘increment’ filed by employees of FBR.

Ishtiaq Ahmed and Syed M Hamid adjourned hearing of important cases as the counsels failed to submit relating documents. The bench was hearing the case filed by filed by Jan Muhammad Afridi.

The appellant had named Regional Tax Office as respondent in the case filed during 2012 and was pending still for decision. Appellant’s submission carried ‘implementation’ matter.

Ishtiaq Ahmed and M Javed Iqbal Kasi had also adjourned hearing of cases filed by Noor Muhammad, Muhammad Ishtiaque and Aurangzeb challenging reversion. They had filed their cases in 2016.

Another appellant had filed complaint about implementation by Syed Sultan Abbas. Same bench heard the cases asking the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier announced decision which was not yet compiled by the board authorities.

On the last hearing, benches had directed the concerned counsels, appellants and defendants, to submit documents and brief on arguments before the tribunal before next hearing.

It is pertinent to mention that some of FST benches were not working during last week of 2016 owing to winter vacation.  However, these benches had resumed hearing at the tribunal and now they would hearings at the tribunal.
