Multan ASO seizes smuggled items worth Rs24.92m in December 2016

MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan, Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized non-duty paid vehicles and miscellaneous smuggled goods of worth Rs24.92 million during December 2016.

According to details, the ASO carried out various anti-smuggling operations against non-custom paid vehicles and goods during the month of December 2016. The Anti-Smuggling Organization made 13 seizures during the above said period.

The ASO Multan impounded six non-duty paid vehicles including Toyota Premio, Toyota Corolla (G), Toyota Crown, Toyota Corolla (X), Toyota Vitz and another during the above said period. These vehicles were impounded from Dera Ghazi Khan, Sadiqabad and other cities of South Punjab and are said to be worth Rs8.8 million.

The ASO Multan also confiscated smuggled goods of various kind including auto spare parts, tyres, 9590 tablets of Zanax medicine and other smuggled items in their actions during December. The MCC Multan registered cases against offenders and forwarded to Customs Adjudication for further proceeding.
