Customs collects revenue of Rs486m during December

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) collected revenue of Rs486 million under head of customs duty during the month of December of financial year (FY) 2016-17 against the assigned target of Rs467 million. The Collectorate exceeded the assigned target by Rs21 million.

Collector Dr. Arslan told Customs Today that during the month of December FY16-17 the performance of collectorate was extra-ordinary and the Collectorate added a handsome amount under head of customs duty.

The collector added that dry port collected Rs307.97 million under head of CD as for as the Customs AFU collected Rs200.74 million, the car section collected revenue of Rs4.37 million as for as Customs Bond (C-Bond) collected revenue of Rs4.64 million under head of customs duty during month of December FY16-17.

Dr. Arslan said that during the above said period Unaccompanied Air Baggage (UAB) collected revenue of Rs0.42 million as for as the Air Baggage Section (AB) collected revenue of Rs2.292 million adding that Customs International Mail Office (IMO) and Arrears Record collected revenue of Rs0.62 million.
