Prices of fruits, vegetables remain stable

ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in the federal capital here on Monday.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.  According to price list, potato sold at Rs 27 per kilogram, Onion Rs 30, Tomato Rs 29, Ginger Rs 94, Garlic (China) Rs 294, Garlic Local 320, Lemon Rs 55, Lady Finger Rs 88/65, Pumpkin Rs 49, Brinjal Rs 36, Peas Rs 42, Fresh Bean Rs 38, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 31, Capsicum Rs 68/45, Green Chilli Rs 46, Cauliflower Rs 23/15, Cabbage Rs 34, Bitter Gourd Rs 75/55, Spinach Rs 20/15, Radish Rs 16, Turnip Rs 21,Yam Rs 70, Maroo Rs 28, Carrot Rs 24, Chicken Rs 102 and Egg per dozen Rs 121.  Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 122/90, Apple Golden Rs 100/60, Apple White Rs 92/55, Apple China Rs 165/130, Banana Pak Rs 80/50, Grapes Toffee Rs 155/130, Guava 80/55, Pomegranate Rs 178/125, Musumi Rs 130/100, Shakri Rs 140/115, Kino Rs 80/50, Fruiter Rs 82/50, Pear China Rs 150/130.
