The outline of the meeting was to address the issues of exporters, importers and upcountry dry ports which are hampering the business industry. Khurram took notice of issues related to Karachi ports, shipping lines and high taxes.

He directed officials concerned to call a high-powered committee meeting of all the stakeholders comprising the FBR, Ministry of Ports and Shipping, ANF and upcountry dry ports to address and resolve all issues being faced by the exporters, importers and upcountry dry ports.

Butt, who is also the chairman of Sialkot Dry Port Trust, hoped that most of the issues would be resolved in the wake of the meeting.
