Peshawar MCC Treasury collects Rs 21.90m in IH of FY 2016-17

ISLAMABAD: The Treasury Branch of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar earned a revenue of Rs.21.90 million under the head of All duty Taxes and Surcharges during the 1st half (July to December) of Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to details, Additional Deputy Collector Fazle Samad said the performance of the Treasury Branch was excellent during the abovementioned period, adding it collected excellent amount of all the duty taxes during the first half of FY16-17.

Fazle Samad said that during the 1st half the Customs Treasury Branch of the MCC Peshawar collected revenue of Rs.2.14 million under the head of Customs Duty (CD) and the Treasury Branch, MCC Peshawar, earned the revenue of Rs.15.32 million under the head of various duty surcharges.

Additional Deputy Collector added that during the abovementioned period the Treasury Branch collected the revenue of Rs.0.07 million under the head of Redemption Duty (RD) on imports and the said customs station earned the revenue of Rs.2.93 million, adding the Treasury Branch collected the total customs duty under the value of Rs.17.53 million.

The Customs Treasury Branch Peshawar collected the revenue of Rs.0.86 million under the head of Sales Tax during the first half of the current Financial Year 2016-17. The sources further said that during the abovementioned period the Customs Treasury Branch collected the revenue of Rs.2.07 million under the head of Sales Tax on imports.

He mentioned that during the above time the Customs Treasury Branch collected the Rs.1.29 million under the head of Additional Income Tax (AIT). ADC Samad said that during the above period the Treasury Branch earned the revenue of Rs.0.15 under the head of Total Federal Excise Duty.
